Hello everyone,
I heard that BLack Australorps lay 3 or 4 eggs a day, is that TRUE!

Nope. I get 1 egg a day.

Well looked after Australorps lay approximately 250 light-brown eggs per year. A new record was set when a hen laid 364 eggs in 365 days.They are also known to be good nest sitters and mothers, making them one of the most exceptional large, heritage utility breeds of chicken.

ya mine gives me 1 day, and she is a good mother so far because she is currently broody, so shes been not laying

No chickens lay 3 or 4 per day. Whoever told you that meant to say "per week". But Australorps lay more like 5 or 6 per week. The only layers I had that were better than Australorps were California Whites- I had one who would lay 13-14 eggs before missing a day! She was an awesome hen with a super personality too.

One eggie a day
The worlds record was set by an australorp hen , in fact several world records were set by Australorp hens, the record is 364 eggs in 365 days. All trials were conducted with no artificial lighting. One of ours at our other barn laid 342 last year..didnt think she would ever take a break.
