These two are 12 weeks in a few days. I’m concerned Blossom might be a he.. my hope is she is just developing a little quicker than Basil her comb and wattles are bigger and more red
what is your opinion

I think pullets, but get a picture with your hand or a piece of paper under the saddle feathers so that it's easier to see the true shape.

12 weeks old ? I think that both are pullets.

This was taken this evening. Both 12 weeks, they are both the same breed. Is it common for some hens to develop wattles and comb sooner? Even if same breed and age?

Also the broody Orpington, Sweetpea that raised them since they were 2 days old - she was a great mama!! She’s suddenly being very mean to them, chasing them away and pecking at them. I’ve had to roll up a blanket to put on the roost bar so she doesn’t go over to bully them. Why?
She’s just not so sweet! She needs a new name.
