My husband and I started out with 3 black barred plymouth rock chicks (they are now almost 5 months old). We determined the one is a male, due to his comb, and he went away.
Now, we are down to two, and I am torn between thinking that they are 1 hen and 1 rooster (as a friend guessed) or 2 roosters.
I would be grateful for any insights you can provide, as we live in the city, and the crowing has commenced (although I can never catch them in the act face to face!).
They are usually both in the coop, but Chicken #2 is in the garage for photo purposes, and so I can keep them straight!
