Set alarms every 2 hours to wake up and pang pans to scare him away

that’s what i’m thinking. i just went out and banged pans again and im gonna go out before bed to do the same thing.

Most people depend on a dog or two to sound alerts and chase predators off . You have any friends who hunt bears you might want to call them.

well i don’t know how fast he will find it i meant more so i need until tomorrow to find a different place for them to sleep and figure out proofing for a bear as nothing is open here and it was late already when this happened. i meant i need something for the night because i dont have an alternative this late in the evening.

i have a australian shepherd who HERDS my animals and protects them from small things like crows/mink etc. but i wouldn’t never put her up against a black bear.

yes me too! they said they had a few bear sightings. they don’t do much unless they actually harm/disturb the property/people. but because we have a child and a disabled teen that walk on that trail/walk around the house everyday they made it a priority thankfully to come get him as he was scarily close to the house
