Today we found our 3 wk old polish chick laying on it's stomach motionless. I picked it up and found two of it's toes seem to be....skinned? They are black in color with a bloody tint to them. It starts immediately at the last digit and looks like the skin is torn off. He. Is housed with mates his age and they all appear fine. We have nothing heavy to fall and crush his toes and is in a safe area...any suggestions? Will post pics soon.
