You might also considering selling the male sexlinks at hatch as reptile food. I've had good luck doing that and if I were so inclined, I could turn around and use that money to buy CX.
Maybe do a side by side grow out; get a couple CX and raise them alongside a few of your BSL males to see which you like better.
