The offspring will either look brown red, brown red with some extra red leakage, or brown red with some faint duckwing patterning.

I have a Black Breasted Red male with Black Breasted Red females and Brown Red females. Should it be easy to tell the chicks apart?
I know the pure Black Breasted Red chicks will be the wild type brown/striped. Should the crossed chicks be all black like the Brown Red chicks were?
I guess I’m just wondering if there’s any chance that the BBR/Brown Red cross chicks could look identical to the pure BBR chicks or of they should be easily distinguishable.

I believe the brown red crosses would not be chipmunk patterned. However, I’m not completely sure. @NatJ ?
