I am offering day old chicks from my Black Copper and Blue Copper Marans.
I breed my Marans for both Egg color and APA Standards for showing. I show both my eggs and my birds. I am not promising show birds but you will have a higher possibility of getting one from these chicks.
This is my 6th generation of Coppers, I have crossed several of the older lines over the years and have bred for health and vigor. My birds are hardy and are excellent free rangers but will also tolerate being penned with smaller amounts of quality food than most. They are slow growing but also dress out well and taste delicious, even at 10 months or more.
Of course I also breed for not only the darkest but the best overall eggs, this includes color and size as well as shape. I also breed for hens that lay darker longer and for highest production. I do not hatch pullet eggs, I believe the chicks to be weaker. These chicks will be from my proven producers of dark eggs and beautiful birds.
All chicks will be feather shanked and from my darkest eggs, they will be marked for their pens so you will know how closely related they are. This is the only way to properly use them for breeding. I will send "pedigrees" to anyone that needs one.

Shipping is $25 and there is a 10 chick minimum. I will include grogel and electrolytes for you to administer at home
