That sounds more like a BCM. And I'd wager that this one was bred from Marans as well, possible from a legbar or legbar mix. People like to breed Marans to blue egg laying birds to get birds that lay an olive egg. Cream Legbars lay a blue egg and are crested. Let us know what color eggs she lays.thanks for the advice what breed are we looking at? a mix maybe I'd be interested to know. it was with another chick that died I was told one was cockerel but not which, the other chick was not speckled and had copper ends to the feathers. it also didn't have a crest. maybe this can help identify it and also explains why I thought it was a bcm.
