Yes ma'am it is rare, this whole summer has been pretty mild with may more rain than usual. The majority of our property is scorched earth around this time of year, lol. She looks quite content!

You're right! With her all puffed out, she does look like a (very angry) pile of leaves!
Some of them get down right mean! Onyx for example, at the beginning of her brood she's just mildly irritated, by hatch she might as well be a rooster! Last year I was trying to get pics of her chicks and she came flying at me like a lunatic, scratched my arm all up with her feet
There is now a 3ft rule in place when she has chicks
