Black Copper Maran Chicks

I'm confused! All 5 of the chicks in the pic came from my BCM pair. This is the first time I've hatched BCM eggs, is it normal for there to be this much variety in them?

I think your hen must have had a nighttime visitor or either or both of your birds aren't purebreds.
