View attachment 1302691 View attachment 1302692 We got this pullet because they said it was a female. It's been a little over a month and it's DEFINITELY a male! He will probably start crowing soon which would be really really bad news since chickens aren't even allowed in our area. He's handsome as all getout and is going to be a really good looking rooster. PM me and I'll text you a picture! Free to a good home if you promise me 2 of his chicks once he starts breeding.

Not only is he not female, he also looks to be a mix with that crazy comb. Not to mention the lack of leg feathering and wrong body type. Good luck finding him a home.

Yup, sorry but that is not a pure Black Copper Marans rooster. The comb is absolutely not right and the lack of feathering on the legs is also a giveaway.

You people sure are picky for people who are not only in another state, but it’s a freakin free rooster. Thanks for your unwanted input. And FYI, he has feathers on his legs.

They were not trying to be rude, they were just trying to give you more information about him. A lot of these people are breeders, so they look for certain characteristics that are standard in the breed. That's all, they were simply trying to help give you more info. Again, he is a very pretty boy and I bet someone will want him soon! I wish you the best of luck!

I doubt anyone would breed him or offer you chicks back considering his disqualifications for the breed no matter how pretty he is. I had good luck giving away my pure bred bantam cockerels, all 17 of them, last year on Craigslist to decent homes. Sometimes it’s hard to home them, even being free, without simply letting go and not asking for anything in return. :)
