Hi! So my girl (hopefully really a girl 😂) is almost 19 weeks old. We assumed she was a black copper maran mix from the egg she hatched from (dark brown) and the mama/papa owners thought so as well, but her small comb and lack of wattles is throwing me for a loop. So I’m so curious…

Any ideas what she might be or be mixed with?

Thanks!!

Probably an Easter Egger or an Ameraucana x Marans. Is she supposed to be an Olive Egger?
I only knew that she was a maran mix but had no idea what she could be mixed with. When I was looking at her comb and stuff, it didn’t seem on par with black copper maran. So I wasn’t sure. Thanks for the response! After looking at more breeds, her features kind of remind me of an Americauna.

Well Ameraucanas must lay blue eggs per their breed standard. So if she doesn't lay an olive colored egg, the sire wasn't an Ameraucana, probably an Easter Egger. They are a mixed breed without a standardized look, bred to lay colorful eggs (but they don't always lay colored eggs due to being a mix).
