Black copper maran - pullet or cockerel?

This BCM is 17 weeks and 5 days old. It hasn't started crowing yet, so I can't tell by that. I've seen some pictures of BCM hens online with fairly large wattles and combs, and by this age, the BCM cockerels I've seen online seem to have much more prominent rooster features. But, I'm just starting out--and am blinded by hope--so would welcome the opinions of others. Here are two photos.

Thanks for both of your takes. I'm relieved by your opinions. Could such robust comb and wattles be a sign that she might be ready to start laying soon? I have read a few things about the potential connection, but she also seems a bit young to be laying.

There is a connection, but she won't be laying for another couple of months unless you are very lucky or the age is somehow off.

Thanks for sharing. The age is definitely right, since I raised her since she was only a few days old. I'll keep you all posted on her status moving forward.
