That is the combination that a friend of mine uses to breed her olive eggers. BCM roo + EE hen. I haven't gotten an OE from her but she's been doing it that way for years. Now I'm not sure if her EE are f1 or f2 though.

The egg he came out of is disappointing but there is still the genetics that his sire added to the mix that is unknown. My guess he will end up being an average brown egg genetic contributor. Your hen, being a blue egg layer, will guarantee that resulting pullets will be green egg layers. Move ahead and hatch out a few clutches this year and then evaluate him once the pullets start laying.
