Black Copper Marans - 9 weeks old?

I have two black copper marans, they’ll be 9 weeks old Tuesday. We are dumbfounded. Every picture I look at the chickens look so much older. These two are the same size, one has had a small, pale co b since about 2 weeks, one is feathering black, the other has some copper speckles with a teal sheen. We’re so confused. The one with the little comb also has the speckled feathering (just on the tips)
