Hey guys... fell off again... I have a virus... it is a google redirect virus... It crashed me once so I rebuilt my whole system and then shortly after posting it killed me again... I don't know how long I am going to be posting at this rate... Anyone deal with this virus and know how to kill it.. I have used multiple tool both downloaded and purchases... It is a browser hijacker. It came in on a clean new system... Please email me if you have dealt with this before... It has eaten part of my study materials...

Sorry to hear that Geebs!! I know these viruses are getting slicker n' slicker by the day!! I know Macs are not immune to viruses but I have far, far less problems with all the sites I visit/use than my son who has a PC.

Hoping you are able to keep it virus free!

One of the best virus protectors I ever used when I had a PC was AVG...there is a free version and one more advanced that you pay for. I had NO problems using the freebie.

I still have it.... I found a backdoor to BYC that doesn't alert it as yet... but that is probably a matter of time just like last time... I am not sure what to do about it... It is called the google hijack 2011 virus. I am still looking for a solution... I will have to keep rebuilding my system over and over till I figure it out.

Thanks but it isn't a Rob problem... It is a browser jacker... It started last time on Mozilla... and then Firefox and now Google... It is known as the Google hijacker though... It does attack any browser and is a real infestation... It seems harmless but it isn't. It bores into the system and reads you files and takes you to infected websites... I keep smacking it down but haven't gotten rid of it yet... My firewalls closed my computer down last time to protect it from a backdoor trojan that it was trying to let in... (2nd time) and so far it is being good and staying in the corner but it really is a matter of time...
