Oh boy, am I with you on that........................ I read everyday ( 2 days catching up with because of the poultry show) & try to keep up but sometimes my heads spins & I have to just walk away & think of something else for awhile. I wonder if it has anything to do with me getting older??????? LOL I thought it was a "use it or lose it" thing so I try to challenge myself & "use it" as much as possible on a daily basis. Anyway, I intend to keep on trying.

I'm keeping track of gender guesses. Got my Excel spreadsheet all set up already! pinkchick has been documented.

tee-hee on zip ties!

I get mine from Harbor Freight - they are the most inexpensive place I've found, and they even have them in neon colors!

GEEBS - - I don't know whether to thank you or

.

I truly am in awe that you can spot and note all that in my chicks.
So, I printed out your observations and Dh and I will sit down tonight - - - - one chick at a time and go through the whole list.

TOMORROW - - I will try to post the remaining 4 birds and will work up the same type of observation report.
Then you can add to it any thing I missed. At the moment, I feel like I am back in school with a long homework assignment!

MathAce THanks either way... right back at ya

.... I may mean nothing.. or it may mean something... That is the point... Anyone can look at the phenotype (outside appearance) and point out what they see... Lets do the first (that I know of) documentation of the phenotype of the babies.... the more information we have with these... the more we may be able to control the outcome later....

To everyone:
If I have missed something... speak up.. I am sure I have...typos or whatever.. it is a GROUP effort... This project will be fun to see the outcome.. the more eyes the better.

When I first started with my very first birds.. I got presentations that were not available in pictures anywhere... I later found out that they meant somethng... they were really bold examples but now I know that the presentation was important.. Maybe... here comes the theory... just maybe it is the small degree of something greater that we can watch... If we tune our eyes to see the small things... they could pay a dividend somewhere later... or we can all just enjoy a silly adventure and look at baby pictures.. Either way.. win/win!!!
