Black Copper Marans discussion thread

I want him.... I'm really hoping my new roo grows up to be beautiful... he is almost 8 weeks old and from what I can tell he have the 5 point comb. I'm worried about his coloring, the copper looks pretty patchy right now, but I'm by no means an expert. Maybe I'll post pictures tomorrow to get some feed back from all you pros =)
 
Yes, This male would be considered very good quality, next step would be to see if he will produce like quality.

Thank you! Don't worry, when he was that age, he had a lot of brown flecks all over him, he even had two white feathers, an as he got older it got more defined. He was almost 8 months before he looked like this. Also, his comb is a little odd, he has 4 nice points, but has a back part of his comb that has three points, His ladies don't have that though, So I'm hoping to breed that out.

Would it be possible to get a close up of the blade of his comb where the three points are located.
