Mornin' Geebsie!!!! You still on cloud 9? I would be! I'm so stinkin' excited for you!

Guess what???......I have 4 babies out of 5 eggs...not bad. The 4th one (just hatched at 4AM) is still in the hatching tray and all the way at the back, so I can't tell if it is a Black Copper yet or not, but if it is then 3 of them that hatched would be BCM (

) and the other is a Blue Copper. Wish that little critter would come to the front of the 'bator! Hopefully I can get some little BCM pics up here soon.

BTW: My first little BCM that hatched on the 3rd of Feb. is definately a pullet. This makes me very very happy!

) I only got one cockerel out of that hatch...of course it is Bill's kiddo.

Thanks and ya cloud 9... Did you see that my charlie boy got 3rd out of all the black copper adult males??? I am sooo stoked... I don't know what to do with myself... I am probably driving Alecia nuts...ha ha... She is such a good egg about the whole thing.. What a gal... We are so well respresented.. as you well know...

I will take a bill black copper male... I need something... It needs to be fairly correct but tall... If you have something this summer let me know... I have to get a good male to replace one... You are the one person in the area that may have what I need.... Did you see that my buddie Andy got 2nd in Eggies!!! SNAP!!! that is cool beenz... Oregon was well represented... I was just happy to be part of the process.... the rest is icing... I needed medicated!!! LOL... I was so excited I couldn't even see ppl rolling thier eyes at me!!! ha ha.

I did....I did!!!!!! Congratulations to Andy as well!!!!! I seriously need to exchange some emails with him and talk about the other breed that he and I have in common. I bet he has tons of info stuff tucked away that I could really glean from.

I didn't want to make a big deal of it till I saw if he did well.... But now... uh... coooleo... We (Alecia and I) had only a few birds and nearly all got a ribbon... That is a huge credit to her for prepping the birds and of course the judge looked at the quality so I have to take some credit in the breeding department... I knew we had good blues... I really knew they were good... I had made a few pair here in oregon and they came out like cookies in a cookie cutter... so I knew what the finished product looked like in Atlanta... I was pretty sure we had a shot there to represent well... You know I don't breed for the blues anymore but I was pretty sure I had it right for Newnan... They of course are not the APA approval bird so my biggest success and pride goes to the BC... the qualifying show with the qualifying bird representing the example of what to breed for... that is the cool beenz to me... Hey.. thanks for asking... That is nice of you...

It is hard to hold a secret for a year... ha ha... (mostly)

Pink.. He had the biggest rooster I have ever seen... A BC that would knock your socks off... It was he size of a Labrador... His feet were the size of my hands....No I am not exaggerating... I don' know what he wieghed but he was the biggest son of a gun you ever saw... He was mean though so he got culled... Too bad.. you could have sold them suckers as guard animals... make anatolie look like kittens... Sheeesh... Andy is DA BOMB...

I'm hoping for a couple of them to be boys....if they are and the end up nice....you can bet your bottom dollar that you will be getting one!!!! I would love to see what you could produce from a Bill boy. I'll definately be wide eyed and paying lots of attention to that project.....OH YES MA'AM!!!!!!! ​

I figured out what I am going to do with the little blue female... (oh and this will be a genetic soup nightmare) but the phenotype is what I am after... I have to get on it if I am to have something for Stevenson... It will be a pink/geebs project... (only if it works
