Yes.......you need to get a nice cockerel from Geebs that has excellent copper color and try using him over your dark girls to see if it improves the hackle color in the next generation offspring. I know she will have an extra cockerel or 2 that she can get her hands for ya.

He is a pretty boy and I like his height as well. He looks nice and tall.

so here they are and please Judge them. New to them and really have no clue!

They are just now 6 months old, And they are loving me with yummy eggs! Of course they wouldn't stand still for a Pic.

flgardengrl: Thanks for posting the pix... I still have yet to see the #3 winning black copper cock not cockerel... (my creation) and the two winning blue coppers...both my creations.. If you happen to run across them in your photos... let me know.. Since I wasn't in Newnan I didn't get any pictures... DRAT!!! The tail set on all my Black coppers is like that.. You found my retentive spot... I don't care so much about combs but I am a total tail hound... (and eyes)... Really picky about those two things..... My male at home doesn't suit everyone but he throws a good tail on every bird and good eyes... Oh and he lenthens the back on them.. Do you want to see the little hens that he lenthened the back on to make the male??? The male I posted still has too short of a back but the improvement is substantial.

He has a very long back to make corrections... Another cross to a longer backed female will do alot to improve things..
