I always wait for the Juve molt and this varies as to age. I would wait a while longer until they do molt.

X2. Heard far too many horror stories about sick birds dead birds and from what i have seen the quality is not there either with gff in general.

My black copper maran rooster is very dark with just a little copper and not much feathering on legs. Should I use him for breeding?

I can't get this to enlarge Can you post a close up of his head/comb and a side view of the whole roo with his head up? Also, how old is he?

I can get better pictures tommorow. He is 8 months old. He has big wattles but not so much comb. He only has the copper around the neck.
