I'm in northern California
I may have some in the next couple of months, I will PM you.

Bev Davis doesn't sell hatching eggs.  I personally would not purchase a thing from GFF, but that's just my opinion.

X2. Heard far too many horror stories about sick birds dead birds and from what i have seen the quality is not there either with gff in general.

100% agreed!

I personally have purchased birds from there and my experience with the birds was WAY less than desirable. Now with that said, I purchased BCM's from GFF 2 years ago as chicks, things could have changed by now. Anyway, I grew them all out.....males all had squirrel tail, one of them also had wry tail, all of them had white in the hackle and tail feathers and 1 had crooked toes. None of the males were used..except to take up space in the freezer.
The females were nice type and had good egg color...but after test mating the females and growing up offspring, I ended up with Carnation combs (side sprigs on the blade) and the male offspring all showed a cinnamon wing triangle upon maturation (sure sign of Wheaten genetics in the background). All females were also culled. Not like I didn't give them a chance and didn't try to work with them, but there were too many problems to try to breed out.....I had them until they were almost 2 years old. Traded 6 of them for 2 Nigerian Dwarf goats and got a surprise baby out of that deal about 5 months later after I brought the goats home. Turned around and sold the goats a about a month ago for $450. :)

Just my opinion and my experience with GFF. Customer service from the gal that handles the hatching and shipping was good though.

Hey guys I am having a lot of trouble finding hens or started pullets for sale. I really want a few BCMs for the egg color to add to my basket. Even if they are a breeders culls, I don't care if a feather is out of place

I think, you will find it hard to buy pullets, even culls. Most breeders keep their dark layers, even if they might have a feather out of place, because you can always work on that. Getting the dark color is much harder.

Probably your best bet is buy eggs, or day old chicks from a reputable breeder, & grow them up. It would be worth the years wait I think.
Most of us keep our pullets until they start to lay to make sure of the egg color. Buying culls will probably be hens that don't lay the dark egg that you are looking for.

But, that is just my opinion.

Thank

I ordered some hatching eggs and hope I get a good result hope 50% will hatch! I just was hoping for some to get some eggs soon. I have a pair of them but she has yet to lay she's 25 weeks old! What's up with her? Lol

If your pullet is six months old, she should start laying soon. This time of year, we are dealing with the daylight hour issue also. Chickens don't lay well with the shortened days that we experience this time of year.

Good Luck,
