Black Copper Marans discussion thread

I need help... Is two square feet per bird, in the coop enough? will get to free range evry day, and will only be in the coop at night.
4 square feet is the norm for large fowl. That said, one of my larger coops is 8 by 10 ft. I can squeeze 25 birds in there ok..but they also have 24/7 access to the outside..but in the winter, they choose to stay inside.

Out of all of the Black Copper Marans breeders in the United States, who has the best genepool that still sells to the public. Thanks for any/all replys in advance.
I seem to be on here a lot today...I think most of us that post here have Bev's birds. Some of us have other lines as well. Mine are all from Davis. I think she has been breeding Marans longer than any others

So it won't work?

You may find if you do that they will all try to crowd onto the top level, or at least everyone at the top of the pecking order. I have high and low roosts, and they all try to squeeze onto the top one!

I got a pair from a breeder that was pure wade jean line. I had a hatching egg sales customer hatch out a chick with a webbed foot. Is this common? Is this something I should state in my auctions that is a possibility or does it just happen sometimes? Thanks
