They might be 15 generations away from the original breeder so they are NOT Wade Jeane lines and have not been since they left his hands.
That light colored girl in the middle? she is really mossy. If it was me I would not use any of these birds. too much hidden in the wood pile there. You could try with the more normal looking birds but I would think the same issues would pop up in the next generation.

First pic is what the "mossy" one looks like now at 16 weeks. Would she be wheaten if not mossy? ..or just goofy? And ....after I took the pics and compared with Kinzie's pullet there's not as much similarities as I thought.

She will be culled from the breeder pen and very likely be rehomed to someone's layer flock. I'm bummed.
Ill post back with her egg color later if it changes. I still have 4 more Marans pullets waiting to lay their first eggs also.
