Uhh, the breeder is going the wrong route for Salmon Marans then. . . They shouldn't have so much white on them like that. It's as if there's Columbian or Dominant White in there. . .
I have no idea how they are breeding them, I just posted pics of what they said they had

I know they said it was a Salmon Marans so maybe they just didn't know what they were talking about. I know I have no idea of what one looks like. I see the hen pic of them but was there a roo?
OMGOSH>> UH>>> DUH>>> YEPPERS... Please spam o rama the thread... Litter it with poloroid!!! Wow!!! Cool!!!
Okay a British and French.... so the question of leg feathering may come up!!!
Keep posting... I don't know what the rule is about when you aren't a newbie anymore... but at least take them... you might have to wait till you have been herea little bit to do photos.. I don't know the rule???? ANYONE????
Oh I crack myself up.. I got so excited I didn't realize you had ALREADY POSTED a picture.. wow... blond moment.
On no... feathery legs all the way for me... I jsut don't understand the PCGB rule on having clean shanks, when the original bird was bred in France, and the French poultry club (SCAF) and the MCF demand feathered shanks *sigh*
It does make life very difficult, as I would love to get some stock from the UK, as I trvel there semi-regularly, however I'd have to back cross to French birds to get the leg feathers
Actually the PCGB standard is a little different (apart from the leg feathering) to the French standard... but I prefer the traditional French varieties anyway.
