Black Copper Marans discussion thread

Here's an FYI for you Marans breeders: I made a Black Copper Marans Cockerel Grand Champion of the Poultry Show at the NYS Fair. This was a 1200 bird APA & ABA sanctioned show.
I have to tell you making this placement I almost felt I was having an out-of-body experience

He was a pretty nice chicken though.

I thought I was being clear but apparently I was not. It wasn't my bird, I was the Judge that made the placement decision.
