Black Copper Marans Eggs FS - New Price $60 - MS/LA border

Now that BCMs are getting more plentiful, I've dropped my price to $60 including priority shipping with a second dozen in same box for $45 extra (which postage and packaging costs around $18). I no longer keep a list, and will just ship them out as they are paid for. I can fill two dozen a week and so far seem to be keeping up with the orders without having to keep a waiting list.

I am just learning about Marans and am wondering where you would place your eggs on the color scale. To me they look really dark. lol

Always nice to find honest breeders, btw. ;o)

The eggs I received are gorgeous!! Some of the darkest I have ever had.

Thanks Dave.

I hate to rate them because each one is so different. I get very dark, maybe 7, but I also get light and black speckled, and brown splotchy. I love the variety.

I did order some very expensive BC eggs from a well known BC Marans breeder who posts pics of eggs looking black but the ones I received were not as dark as my own eggs.

By the way, if anyone wants more than one dozen, I can easily fit two dozen in one shipping box and would only charge $45 for the second dozen.

They look great! I'll be looking for some in early May.

To be honest Ruth I am almost more interested in your BIRDS that the eggs they lay.... Those hens are gorgeuos... and since I cant have a rooster and I want to show soemthing unusual at the fair this year. I would LOVE to have some eggs.. I will send you payment for some eggs around the first of April!!! do you think the girls will be feathered out nicely by august?

Though it's not the best photo - here's one I just took of one of my dark BC Marans eggs (far left); a regular brown egg; an olive egg; a blue egg - all sitting on my dark brown table in front of sunny window.

My chickens all free range and they get really big really fast. The mamas and daddys are in breeder pen but the chicks I've been hatching to keep are running around the farm.
