The girls never grow copper feathers out of their backs like that. Or mahogany on the bend of their wings. Sorry you got roo'd this time.

I guess the only thing i can say is thank goodness i have one female from the first batch. She was the only one from that bunch. She was born in may and should be ready to lay soon unless the bcm's lay later than other breeds. All the males are from the second batch i bought. Not one female out of that batch. If they don't sell this week I will have roo stew. They eat a lot of feed. Thanks again and it's good to know what to look for next time. As soon as she lays I am going to incubate them.
