What is so special about these that their eggs are going for $100+ for 6 eggs? Don't get me wrong, I think they are beautiful birds, but $100 for 6 eggs??

Do they have to have special care?

No special care. The high cost is due to the very dark egg color and the birds being rare.

You can get them for a lot less than 6 eggs for $100.

I'm on her waiting list. I found someone who would sell me 12 for $60, but I had to buy them that day and have them shipped today. I won't be here 3 weeks from now so I'd be away when they were supposed to hatch.....won't work

. I just hope I can still get them later.

As for the $100, that's the price I've been seeing them go for on ebay, sorry, I should have clarified.
