Black Copper+Splash Marans

This is my splash copper marans pullet.. so far I don't see copper coming in.. but I haven't seen it on the other two pullets either.. I think some will appear over time.. Both roosters have copper, though one recently developed it.
They are about 11 weeks old. My blue copper rooster is crowing!

Here is my "Little Boy Roo" Blue Splash Copper Roo 4.5 months old. Though, you cannot see it in this photo he does have copper,
and my Splash Hen (she has just started laying and please forgive her comb. Couple of my older Barred Rock hens are not the nicest gals in the world.)

and my Splash Copper Roo (who doesn't have a name yet) brother to "Little Boy Roo" 4.5 mos old

what makes a blue again
do all blues have copper heads or is there a blue that isnt copper too?

I guess i have to be more observant...was thinking people might just say Blue when they mean blue copper...darn i am confusing myself! haha

One of the splash hens there looks to have yellow or willow legs.....is that a trick of the light or my computer screen?

well I THINK my splash is supposed to be a marans

so actually, the word splash is more about coloring than breed to begin with. I take it there are other "splash" breeds. duh. i knew that...i think

found out that my splash is a cuckoo marans splash does that change anything?
