Black Duck Poop from Digging in Black Mulch

They are digging in my garden mulched with black mulch. Should I worry about poisoning.

My chemical engineering background tells me to chill out - the mulch is probably dyed with simply carbon which won't hurt them. What do you think?

Mine dig in the red colored mulch all the time. I've never seen a problem from it.
