Black EE chick is sick! HELP!*still waiting for more answers.*

Mine are doing the exact same thing!!! They have the watery/bubbly eyes and coughing. I called my county's extention office and they gave me the number for a Poultry place where I am supposed to bring in the chickens and they will test them. However, they cull the bird and do a necropsy. I sure hope what they have is something curable...

Good luck with your birds and I'll update tomorrow and let you know what I find out w. mine.

These symptoms can be related to numerous respiratory issues. These can include viruses, which are not treatable, bacterial infections, environmental (ammonia smells, cedar). Without tests or necropsy, there is no sure way to know, which is why you aren't getting any answers. All you can do is try vitamin supplements and other natural remedies (ACV, garlic) to boost their system and see if it helps. If the discharge changes from clear to yellow, you could go to antibiotics. If you're against putting the bird down, you're going to have to see a vet to get a diagnosis.
