Black/grey mystery chick 5 weeks

I've been watching all their eyes and noticed the SS eyes have gone from a hazel color to a more green the last 2 week's but this grey chick has solid black eyes.

Yep! Those eyes are very pretty! Since SS are a mix it definitely could occur but I would expect it more from an Orpington!

Also noticed the base of her feathers are all blue since they started growing in, Idk if that helps narrow down breeds? She loves it when I scratch the back of her neck, it's been a little flakey since the feathers started coming in and she can't seem to reach very well. She's the only one that hasn't dirt bathed yet, she'll lay right in the middle of everyone else while they do it and then walk away cause they're all bumping her back and fourth, I assume her flakes will go when she finally gets in the dirt like the others.

11 week update, my pictures don't do her justice, she's so soft though and very mild mannered. She was the first to jump on us and lets us pick her up and pet her with no protest at all. I wouldn't mind getting a few more like her, she's becoming my favorite.
