Black japanese bantam eggs

My lovely chicken Kojiki just started laying her first eggs ever this month. Since the second shes already laid 4 eggs. Which would be about one egg ever other day. I thought that these types of chickens only lay about once a week.... any idea why she is laying so many?? I just thought it was odd she has about the same egg production as my leghorn.

Sorry this went unanswered. She can lay about 4-5 week actually. Especially before she's 2 years old. The average chicken lays every 26 hours. I think she will lay more then say a 'polish' bird would.

Thanks! She puts out about 5 eggs a week now; glad to hear this is normal for a young bird.
