Hi. I have a black jersey giant hen named beanie boo who we’ve had for about a year. Recently, her feathers have been coming in with white tips and there is a metallic green sheen on her back feathers. Up until now she has had solid black plumage, so what could cause this? She has also started crowing occasionally (as I mentioned in another thread) so could the two events be linked?
The first 4 photos are of her now and the last 4 were her a couple months ago

Hens often get a few little mottled feathers here and there as they age, it’s perfectly normal. :) I have a few hens that did the same thing.
