Black lesion on the bill

Hi everyone,
My drake has this dark lesion on his bill. When first discovered, it was a couple of millimeters bigger. And before I discovered it, it wasn't really showing up, but he was acting really lethargic, not eating much and just wanted to sleep.

As it started to clear up or get better is when he came around. I've been treating it with some standard wound treatment for avians, but it seems like it's not getting any better from this point. It's at a stand still, but doesn't seem to be bothering him.

Although I think he is starting to have some balance issues. But I think he's showing signs of neurological problems that come with this breed. I did have to euthanize one a couple of years ago because of this. I'm afraid it might be happening to this little guy.

Photos are attached if anyone has seen this type of lesion before.

It almost looks like a spider bite. Worst case scenario it could be cancer. Hopefully someone who has seen something like this comes along.

Good question. I think he is pekin, just my guess.

OK, what are you feeding him? What exactly is his diet? What kind of feed and what kind of treats, etc. also, what kind of supplements ?
because this could be a symptom of biotin deficiency and can cause the black lesions on the Bill

Well now I feel silly. While I was putting some gel on it, it came off. So it was just a scab from whatever was there before.

It sure didn't look like a scab before

Well I am glad of that. I had no idea what it was and my only advice would have been "wait and see". Well we have seen!!
