So we got them as chicks (hatched) but it just crowed at me. Can you tell me what this is?

If you have laying hens, it is possible he fertilized their eggs though unlikely as he isn't quite two months old yet. Even if he did it doesn't matter; fertilized eggs are edible and don't begin developing chicks until about three days of consistent 100 degree temps. You planning on keeping him?
