Can anyone tell me if this is a pullet or a cockerel? My husband swears he heard my girl (Pepper Ann) trying to crow this morning, but I haven't heard it. However, every time I enter the coop, she is the only one who barrels right up to me and starts pecking my boots. In fact, she's pretty aggressive! The seller swears Pepper Ann is a pullet, but I'm starting to have my doubts...She's about 3 months old.

Welcome to BYC!!!!
By "about three months" do you mean closer to 12 weeks and under or nearing/over 16 weeks? What I can see of the comb and wattles, the matter of a couple of weeks will make a big difference in gender assessment. Can you get a clean side shot?

Is this a better picture? It's hard to get a decent shot of her because she's constantly trying to peck my legs! And yes, I think she's around 12 weeks old. Definitely under 16 weeks.

I agree we need to pin age down better. My first impression is a pullet that's older than stated, but if it's closer to 12 weeks it's a cockerel.

She's still cheeping/chirping, so she's still fairly young. Im 90% sure she's around 12 weeks old, if not even younger. I got her with my Easter Eggers who were 5 weeks old at the time (they're now 10 weeks old). Pepper Ann was about 2 weeks older than the rest. If it helps, she finished feathering out 6 weeks ago. Her feathers look like a pullet to me, but her comb and wattles look big-- and she's mean! If she really is a pullet, I'd hate to see how aggressive the Roos are.
