black oiled sunflower seeds

Finally found a good place to buy them....

WAL-Mart more than $10.00 per bag cheaper than the feed stores.

is it OK to feed black oil sunflower to the chickens? ( I just picked up a very big bag from Lowe's for 7-8.00 with intention to feed to the wild birds.... but would like to know if the hulls will hurt the chickens)

I feed my chickens and goats bos all the time also get mine at wal-mart

Mine love them....I throw out a couple of handfuls every night before they go to bed. They don't miss a single sunflower seed.....

I'm a big advocate of sprouts - and BOSS is one of the best sprouts you can get, with about 25% protein. Sprouting is very easy to do and the benefits are great.

I mix them with my scratch mix...cracked corn, oats, and BOSS. I do get them at Walmart, but if I can get a good coupon from Tractor Supply, Ill get them there.

To sprout, do you just wet them down and drain them a couple times a day? And then feed them after a couple of days? mk
