Black Orpington with Lavender Orpingtons

I'm hoping to breed some black orpington into my lavenders...can I use my lavender orpington Roo with a black hen?...or does it have to be a black roo with lavender hen?

Lavender is an Autosomal Recessive(lav) based on an Extended Black background(E/E) where solid black are Lav+ and also Extended Black(E/E) so it really does not matter what gender you use

X2. Gender shouldn't matter.

First generation will be black split to lavender. Those bred back to lavender will give you lavenders and more black splits.
