Hi, recently I have been seeing a few wet poops (like chocolate pudding consistency), covered with a layer of black... Is this normal? All of them seem healthy...

They don't have access to charcoal or woodstove ashes.. The poops look like chocolate pudding on the inside, but they're covered with a layer of black. They're not consistently runny, though, they make a lot of normal poops too.Eating charcoal/woodstove ashes can turn the poo black (it isn't harmful).

However, there are normal caecal poos every 8th poo or so, which are liquid and strangely colored sometimes...so what is concerning me is that black if it isn't from ashes/charcoal. I don't know how to advise you on this though.
If the poos are consistently brown/runny that isn't normal.
