Hi all, So I recently hatched some eggs and in that batch was some black sex link eggs. The rooster is also a black sex link. My question is will these chicks be sex linked? 2 of them have the white dot on head and are starting to get the barred feathering. I had heard somewhere that if you breed BSL you won't get the sex link trait. Is this true? Thanks in advance for any answers.

If the parents are black sex links, the chicks won't be sex linked.

Depends what breeds were used to create the sex links that were bred to produce the eggs to know what chicks you will get.
About 1/2 of both sexes of chicks will have barring and about half won't.

Sex links are hybrids between chickens with different traits. If you want chickens that are sexable at birth, that can be bred to produce offspring sexable at birth, you need autosexing chickens. Similar idea, but it's a breed of relatively purebred chicken.
