CockerelWe picked up this bunch of “female” sex link at Tractor Supply to get a backyard flock started and I’m thinking one of our ladies is a lad! The combs are more developed than all the others and it’s the only one with white on the feathers. The rest of the black sex links are solid black. Do we have a little rooster in our hen house?
The one in the back only has white on the tail feathers. The rest od her feathers are golden. And our black ones are just solid black right now. I don’t see any orange.
These are more pictures of the group. What we are supposed to have is
8 golden comet pullets
4 Black sex link pullets
Asian black cockerel.Me too. I was called away for a family emergency for a couple weeks and came home to a roo. Mine looks different from yours. View attachment 1414386
Is this a type of black sex link? Asian black? I'm only confused because if it was a black sexlink there was def NO white spot on this guy's head I went back and looked at pics and videos to make sure. I'm also reading a black sexlink rooster should be barred. I don't see any barring. I think it'd def a boy thought. Hid comb and wattle are red and he is a bit bigger than the 5 girls his age.Asian black cockerel.
Seems like TSC substituted this breed of bird for it's BSL all over the country.....without telling anyone or changing the sign.Is this a type of black sex link? Asian black?
