Black sex-link

I have 2 black sex-link hens or red rock hens as i was told they were but research tells me i should be calling them black sex-link lol.
Im wondering about how they are? We had a Austorlorp before but she was very loud so we gave her back and got the black sex-link.

I had one that was VERY talkative. My two others are not. One barely makes a sound. It greatly depends on the individual!

So far the one we originally had with the Austerlorp is very quiet. Even when laying. I can say the new one didnt wake me up at 530am like the Austerlorp did so thats a bonus. She seems "talkative" but not "screaming to the sun at 530 am" lol

Black sex-links (Black Stars) are one of my top favorites. They are friendly and superb egg layers. Chicks Galore3 is correct about the "talkativeness" of each bird.
