Black Shamo?

I planned to add a Barred Rock or Buff Brahma to my flock this weekend. Came home with a Black Shamo . . . she was too sweet to pass up. She's a healthy, beautiful girl and I can't wait to introduce her to the others (fingers crossed). I had never heard of the Shamo before today - am told they are fairly calm, sturdy, healthy layers.

Are there any Shamo guardians out there who can share info on them?
