Black Silkie Hen crowing?

I am looking for some info. We have 3 RI Reds and one Black Silkie. 5 months old. The Reds are hens, the Silkies was..... "for sure (99%) A HEN". So do Silkie hens really crow like roosters? Some web sites say they do. Our Silkie crows about 5 times each morning after the birds leave the coop. If it is really a rooster it will have to go. Input ? At this age how can I tell for sure if it is a cockerel or a hen? Thanks

Silkie girls have combs that are basically none existent, just a wrinkly flat piece of flesh on their head, doesn't stand up at all. I've never had any of my girls crow, but I guess it's possible...

Well, if shes crowing... I bet its a boy! Usually, if a hen crows, its usually an old higher ranking hen.

We have the same exact issue here. 2, 8 week old Rhode Island Reds & a 5 month old Silkie hen. Or so we thought until the silkie started crowing a few times every morning. So we gave her/ him to a friend where he/ she is alone in a own & noone there has heard it crow....
