I have a very nice, typey, gorgeous black Silkie rooster (rooster is 11 months old). I bought him to show, but sadly he has too much gold showing through on his neck. Because of this, he cannot be shown but he would be a very nice breeder to add type to your chicks. I've been told that crossed with a hen that has a silver gene, many of his chicks will come out clear black. This boy comes from George's breeding/show lines. He has great carriage, tight wings, excellent feet, etc. He also has a funny and charming personality. He would make a great pet with his gentle disposition. I don't have any hens to cross with him, but was told by his previous owner that he is very willing to breed and has had no issues doing so. Local pickup is available in the northeast Florida area or shipping is availble at buyer's expense (probably in the $50 range).
