Black Soldier Fly larvae

G'DAY
Update on the BSF farm.
It has a distinct odour but that's supposed to be a good thing.
The flies have finally found the veggie scraps and laid their eggs while I wasn't watching. I've captured a half dozen trying to escape so far. Fed them to the chicks but they don't know what they are and totally ignore the grubs.
No amount of tapping seems to get their attention.
The four girls seem to be 2 girls and 2 boys. Never mind, I will get a couple more girls when I'm sure.
They are about 3wks old now. How do I sex them.
Two are bigger and do boy things like fight and jump while the girls ( maybe ) are about half size and very docile.
Stay safe and wash your hands. I've heard Bourbon in moderation is good for you.

They are one of the most beneficial flies in existence and are considered non-pests. The adult black soldier fly does not have mouthparts and does not feed upon waste. Where can I get these flies?
I'm living on an island in the Philippines and the flies are just here.
I think they can be found anywhere in the tropics but I'm not sure how far from the equator they range.
Just like in the movie " build it and they will come," so I did and they have. Just good luck I think.

Thanks for the reply my friend,
I'm just starting out with chickens and am a complete newbie. My chook (Australian term) knowledge so far has come from Utube.
Main question is can my girls have too much/many BSF meaning obesity, bad health, balanced diet.
I only have 4 chicks so if I screw up, the world won't stop turning.
The plan is to have more than 50 chickens but I'm taking little steps right now.
I live on an island in the Philippines so winter doesn't exist.
I l lived in mining camps for many years and now I've retired finally have time to do things for pleasure.

Chickens will poop out protein if they over consume so it wont kill them.
