I have been reading about the amazing Black Soldier Fly. I was wondering if they would be successful colonizing chicken litter
that has DE on it? thanks, Love this site!

Black Soldier Fly are amazing creatures! They don't eat cellulose. I would think DE might kill them. They would love just plain ol' chicken poop though but not when it heats up and they love coffee grounds as well as any other stuff you might have that you'd be afraid to feed the chickens. Look at it like this, if you can't feed it to the chickens in it's current state, give it to the BSFL; that way you can still give it to the chicken but in a different state

It would then be nutrition in it's perfect form.

I hope I didn't confuse anyone. Let me know if I need to clarify anything. P.S. I'm really not a writer, I just have a key board.
